Daily Itinerary
Day One: Bonjour!
We'll kick off the tour at 12:00 noon. After a warm meet and greet we'll waste not time in getting oriented to the beauty of Paris with a cruise down the Seine River. A pass under the elegant bridges, an awe inspiring gaze at the Eiffel Tower followed by a stop at Notre Dame Cathedral will give you a taste of the wonder Paris has to offer. After, we'll slip into the local scene with a walk through your neighborhood with stops at various markets. To end our first exciting day together we'll enjoy dinner at one of our favorite cafes.

Day Two: Historic Walking Tour, Marais Walking Tour
The dramatic beginnings of Gothic Architecture began in Paris as a way to bring people closer to God. Today is your day to be inspired by the stained glass gem, Sainte-Chapelle (guided tour), the majestic Notre Dame and the surrounding Ile de la Cite. We'll follow this up with an walking tour through the Marais, home of the aristocrats of the 1700's and now trendy designers, budding artists and chefs. You'll see the magnificent Hotel de Ville, Place des Vosges, and enjoy a visit to the Carnavalet Museum which artfully and systematically takes you through the history of Paris. The evening will be yours to continue exploring .

A local guide will lead you to the fascinating icons of the Mona Lisa, Winged Victory and Venus de Milo as and to other significant pieces. Then you'll be set free to discover and connect to your personal favorites. The afternoon will be yours to relax in the adjacent Tuileries Gardens, walk to the workshop of Delacroix or explore other options that excite your fancy. We'll meet together for dinner with a French chef who will teach us the art of French cuisine and delight us with tales of how the cafe culture began.

A visit to the Palace of Versailles, gardens and Marie Antoinette's Chalet will give you a good dose of what that really means. Upon our return to town the evening will be yours to stop at the Eiffel Tower, check out another wing of the Louvre or just relax.

Picasso, Renoir, Monet and other artist intellectuals living in Montmartre rocked the art world by painting what and how they wanted rather than what they got paid to deliver. Today will be our pilgrimage to their favorite perches and hangouts a top Montmartre and get their perspective on the city. While we are in the neighborhood we'll visit the controversial Sacre Couer. Later we'll treat ourselves to the Orangerie Museum which houses the large scale painting of Monet's water lilies. We'll finish up with an orientation to the Orsay Museum where you will be able enter to wander at will.

Beautiful edifices for religious worship and secular education sit side by side prompting philosophical debate and inspiring conversation. On our Sunday stroll today we will enter three churches of significance. First St. Severin, one of the oldest churches in Paris followed by St. Etienne sporting an elaborate rood screen and lastly St. Sulpice which was made famous by in Dan Brown's da Vinci Code. Sprinkled between these churches we'll make stops at the Cluny Museum for a peek at the Unicorn Tapestry, the Pantheon, and the beautiful Luxembourg Gardens designed for Marie de Medici. We 'll end the evening with a heart- warming dinner together.
